Meet Tichaona Makanyire
Jul 20, 2024, 12:15:45 PMTich has been based in Chewore for many many years, and knows this Protected Area very well indeed. He has patrolled in areas that very few, if any, have seen or experienced such wilderness. And there is nothing that he does not know about how to survive out in the wilds against wildlife, especially lions, armed poachers, meat poachers, gold panners and more. This highly experienced Ranger is indeed a Veteran Wildlife Ranger Challenge participant, this being his 4th years of WRC! Please support this team if you can!
Meet the Tallest Team Member
Jul 20, 2024, 12:10:13 PMNo Tiny Tim is Stan Korera! The team's tallest man has big strides when out on patrol and covers huge distances in the process! Being a Ranger is a tough job indeed, facing wildlife, armed elephant-ivory poachers, gold-panners with axes, and long periods of time away from family. Support our Rangers with you contribution to their Wildlife Ranger Challenge and make a difference!
WRC 24 Mini Challenge 2.4km Time Trial completed
Jul 18, 2024, 3:30:26 PMTeam Chewore South live in very rugged terrain, a protected area which is extremely hilly, rich in wildlife, mineral deposits, springs, a sacred mountain called Chirambakadoma and so when they undertake their runs, you can know they're up against some difficult terrain! So thrilled that despite many challenges they managed to be together from patrol duties all over the 2,000 sq km area and completed the 2.4km Time Trial today.
