The Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit, formed by Transfrontier Africa, empowers women from local communities in South Africa to protect wildlife. Their work has been remarkably effective in removing snares and deterring poachers in the Olifants West Nature Reserve, part of Greater Kruger National Park.
Each year, the Wildlife Ranger Challenge (WRC) unites rangers across Africa in a 21km race, celebrating their dedication and raising critical support. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, women from the Black Mambas will proudly compete. Please join The Living Desert in support of our long-time conservation partner, Transfrontier Africa, and the Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Unit by donating.
Give today and the Scheinberg Relief Fund will match every dollar donated, amplifying your impact. Join us in speaking up #ForWildlifeRangers
