Gonarezhou Conservation Trust - Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2026

About Gonarezhou - Gonarezhou National Park lies in the southeast of Zimbabwe, a vast landscape of over 5000 km². It forms part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area, linking Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and South Africa across one of Africa's most significant conservation landscapes. The park is managed through the Gonarezhou Conservation Trust, a partnership between the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and the Frankfurt Zoological Society.

Our Rangers - Rangers are Africa's unsung heroes. In Gonarezhou, rangers patrol, gather intelligence, track wildlife, and work around the clock to protect this landscape and everything within it. Their work forms the foundation of the conservation success story in Gonarezhou: in 2025 it helped maintain zero rhino and elephant poaching and an 83% conviction rate for wildlife crime, safeguarding the elephant, rhino and other species this park is known for, and the ecosystems they depend on.

The Wildlife Ranger Challenge is a celebration of solidarity, connection, and camaraderie for the ranger profession. Culminating on 19 September 2026, the campaign raises vital funds for Africa's biodiversity guardians.
