Communities for Red Colobus (C4RC) - Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024
The C4RC rangers support local communities to protect one of the largest remaining populations of red colobus monkeys in Africa. They will compete with ranger teams from across the continent to demonstrate their commitment to restore endangered wildlife.
Our Story
Support for the C4RC rangers through WRC has enabled them to transform the lives of local people. Women's groups empower some of the most marginalised members of the local community, wildlife clubs take children out of the classroom and immerse them in the forest and a ranger training programme is mentoring young men and women as the next generation of C4RC rangers.
