Wild Impact - Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2025
The Wild Impact "Oceans Without Borders" Marine Conservation Rangers need your support to protect seascapes around Mnemba Island Zanzibar and Benguerra Island, Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique
Our Story
The Wild Impact Oceans Without Borders Community & Conservation Marine Rangers undertake critical work within extremely valuable and biodiverse seascapes off the East coast of Africa – namely the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique, and Mnemba Island Marine Conservation Area (MIMCA) in Tanzania – Zanzibar
The locally recruited teams are driven by their passion for the ocean and their commitment to conserve the beautiful marine life that is not only critical for sustaining local communities, but also vital for maintaining healthy ecosystems. In their multi-faceted role, they are SCUBA diving, beach monitoring and of critical habitat, analysing data, protecting iconic and endangered species, meeting with local government and stakeholders, running community workshops and teaching in classrooms! They work day into night, week into weekend, with the goal of ensuring that the seascapes remain healthy and biodiverse, and a beautiful destination for all to enjoy.
The funds generated through the Wildlife Ranger Challenge have been key to securing their positions and the continued conservation of these ocean spaces. As the ‘Mnemba Green Turtles’, ‘Benguerra Dugongs’ take on yet another 21km Wildlife Ranger Challenge, we ask that you please support them so that they can keep doing what they do best!
Give today and through Mark Scheinberg and other Wildlife Ranger Challenge partners your donation will be amplified by 25%, increasing the impact you will make. #ForWildlifeRangers
