Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association - Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2025
Our 75 Community Rangers need your support to protect Rugezi Marsh in the north of Rwanda, a unique wetland area and a Ramsar-protected site, serving as a key habitat for Grey Crowned Cranes. Uniting To Support Africa’s Rangers #ForWildlifeRangers
My story
Rangers are Africa’s unsung heroes. They hold diverse roles as conservationists, teachers, community support workers, leaders, and much more.
At RWCA, our 75 Community Rangers play a crucial role in protecting Rugezi Marsh in the north of Rwanda, a unique wetland area and a Ramsar-protected site, serving as a key habitat for Grey Crowned Cranes in Rwanda. The Community Rangers regularly patrol the marsh to prevent illegal activities and raise awareness among local communities about the importance of protecting the marsh and its biodiversity.
Please support our Community Rangers at Rugezi Marsh by donating to our #WildlifeRangerChallenge fundraising campaign. Your contributions will enable us to continue our work in protecting this vital ecosystem.
Give today, and the Scheinberg Relief Fund will match every dollar donated, amplifying your impact. Join us in speaking up #ForWildlifeRangers
