My story

Gonarezhou, named "the place of elephants," is Zimbabwe's second-largest National Park and one of its most famed wilderness areas, stretching over 5,053 square kilometers.

Gonarezhou is a unique conservation success story, involving a true conservation partnership between the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and the Frankfurt Zoological Society.

Gonarezhou Ranger force is empowered through the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Act to police the National Park in an effort to prevent any illegal activities aimed at the natural resources within Gonarezhou. One of the critical strengths of Gonarezhou’s Ranger Team is that more than 90% of our rangers originate from areas directly around the Park. This means creating employment opportunities and fostering a sense of value in conservation and a collective drive to protect it.

Our Rangers join their wildlife colleagues from all over the world on this momentous occasion to push the boundaries further and support ranger efforts in the parks. We invite you to be part of the #TeamGonaz movement and support our ranger team during this year’s event; no amount is too little.

Give today, and the Scheinberg Relief Fund will match every dollar donated, amplifying your impact. Join us in speaking up #ForWildlifeRangers
