Bongo Surveillance Project - Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2025
Uniting To Support Africa’s Rangers #ForWildlifeRangers Support BSP’s rangers in protecting the mountain bongo, its highland forest habitat, and the communities that depend on these unique ecosystems.
My story
The Mountain Bongo (Tragelaphus eurycerus isaaci) is one of the world’s rarest large mammals, with fewer than 100 left in the wild, all in Kenya.
The Bongo Surveillance Project (BSP) works to protect this elusive antelope through field patrols, camera trap monitoring, and anti-poaching efforts across the Mau Forest Complex and Aberdare Range.
As an umbrella species, conserving the mountain bongo helps protect entire ecosystems and other threatened species. With your support, we can continue this vital work and give the mountain bongo a fighting chance.
