Mukutan Conservancy – Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2025
In the heart of Laikipia, Mukutan’s rangers patrol rugged escarpments, protect wildlife, and build coexistence with nearby communities. Help us walk further, train harder, and protect better.
Mukutan Conservancy
Protecting Nature in the Heart of Laikipia, Kenya
At Mukutan Conservancy, our rangers navigate steep escarpments, thick bush, and deep gorges across a rugged and remote part of Laikipia. This landscape, while breathtaking, demands strength, endurance, and unwavering commitment.
We are surrounded by six mainly pastoralist communities, whose need for pasture and water often brings them into direct competition with wildlife. This makes conservation work here uniquely complex — requiring not just protection, but deep engagement, patience, and trust-building.
Our team of nearly 150 rangers works around the clock to monitor wildlife, prevent conflict, remove snares, and respond to emergencies. From foot patrols to K9 tracking, they are the first line of defence for both nature and people.
Whatever amount you donate today will be matched, making this the perfect time to multiply your impact. We need your support to keep our rangers equipped, trained, and safe in the field — so they can continue doing the hard work of protecting this precious landscape for future generations.
Give today, and the Scheinberg Relief Fund will match every dollar donated, amplifying your impact. Join us in speaking up #ForWildlifeRangers
