Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2025 is now complete!
Sep 22, 2025, 1:49:25 PMOn Saturday Tashinga Initiative's 8 teams took to the wilds of the Mid-Zambezi Region running 21km carrying 22kg on their backs. There were two women who participated in the 21km running in Team Mid-Zambezi (1) and in Team Chirundu Task Force, each carrying 10kg! Amazing accomplishment for all 34 Rangers who took part, plus up to 240 supporters, some of whom ran alongside the Rangers, or part of the way, or accompanied the teams in their vehicles. Super interim results so far with our top team at 02:17:47!

WILDLIFE RANGER CHALLENGE: 2-minute pushup challenge underway!
Aug 12, 2025, 1:55:26 PMThis week we are working with all our teams as they undertake their 2-minute PUSHUP Challenge! Many of the team members are in separate places undertaking their duties, but even if completely on his own, prop up their cellphone and set it up to record a video for 2 minutes! The Teams have been training of course, see at Mana Pools and also and here we are with some of Team Hurungwe to see the super strong team there!

This young team are all newly trained rangers having undergone an arduous 3-month training in preparation to become Rangers! Currently we are fundraising for their WRC25 backpacks, t-shirts, caps and boots, and look forward to your support. Their enthusiasm is completely infectious and we love their passion for their work and to be part of Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2025!

This year we have 8 x WRC Teams based out of Doma, Dande-Mbire, Chirundu Task Force, Hurungwe, Charara and Mid-Zambezi Region. We have fundraised for great backpacks, boots, t-shirts and caps, with more t-shirts and caps coming up. Your donation is so very welcome and your name will be featured on our social media.
